The Butterfly Quilt – Complete!
She’s finished!! I gave you a sneak peek last week of Teresa’s amazing quilting on my Butterfly Quilt, and this week, I’m excited to show you the completed project. I hope you enjoy the pictures!
I ordered some of the polka dot print for binding and got to work. Nothing makes the size of this quilt more apparent than stitching around the entire edge. Its HUGE!
It took me several days to hand bind, sneaking in time here and there. Thank goodness for clover wonder clips!
Close up of The Butterfly Quilt – The sunshine really brought out those beautiful feathers in the background.
Will you allow me to show you one more picture? I’m a bit obsessed!
I had a hard time getting a picture of a huge quilt, but my husband and a friend were kind enough to help me get a picture by standing on chairs and holding it up for me. So what’s the secret? How do you get a picture of your large quilts?
If you missed any of my previous posts on the journey to make this quilt, click these links to see the progress, finished top and eye candy of Teresa’s quilting.
I also finished this quilt just in time to include it in the blogger’s quilt festival for large quilts. Nothing like a deadline to get a project done. Be sure to check out the festival for inspiration!
