Quilts for Kids
In the midst of doing a little research concerning sending quilts to the tornado victims in Oklahoma, I ran across a really unique organization, called quilts for kids. Their mission is all about: “Volunteer Quilters Transforming Fabrics Into Patchwork Quilts that Comfort Children In Need.” Sounds pretty great, doesn’t it? They send quilts to those in need all over the world, partnering with hospitals, local governments, and global outreach groups
Can you believe they’ve send 1300 quilts to Oklahoma already? Amazing!
How can you help? They need volunteers to make quilts, financially support quilter and people to spread the word! If you want to make a quilt, just order a kit off of their website (only a $6 shipping cost) and you’ll be on your way. http://quiltsforkids.danemcoweb.com/shop/category/quilt-kits/
