Modern Quilts

I’ve been inspired by the idea of modern quilts.  The bright colors, fun non-traditional shapes and machine quilting embellishments are so beautiful.  I’ve been conversing with Weeks Ringle, a famous designer of modern quilts, on how to move forward on quilting my triangle quilt so I’m ready to get started!

This is one of my favorite quilts she and her husband made.  It’s called “Some Settlement May Occur” and was inspired by a can of nuts!  I guess you really can find inspiration in everything!
