“I Love The Doctor” Mini Quilt
Any Doctor Who fans out there? I might be a bit behind on the fan train as this show just celebrated its 50 year anniversary, but it’s quickly risen as one of my favorite shows. How could you resists a quirky alien who travels in time and space, constantly saving the human race (and others) from some terrifying monsters?
I decided to use my EQ software to draw up a mini quilt inspired by the show. Using a play on the Doctor’s two hearts, I had so much fun creating this mini!
I found a fat quarter in my stash that reminded me of wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey… stuff (name that episode!) so I used that for most of the appliqué and borders.
The gorgeous Arizona sunshine helped me get a better shot of the mini. I’m going to have to find a place for it on my sewing room wall now.
Pattern is coming soon! I’m looking for a few testers who would be willing to test this one for me. It only took me a few hours to make! Let me know if you’re interested by emailing me (Rachel@Quiltineering.com) or commenting here.
If you’re a fan of the show, leave me a comment telling me who your favorite doctor or companion is. I’m partial to Matt Smith’s Doctor, especially those episodes with Amy and Rory. Rory is just so darn sweet!
