Disco Quilt Finish!

Remember my quilted Disco quilt?

Its now complete!  I love the feeling off finishing up a quilt and taking it outside for a mini photo shoot. The bright sunny days in Arizona are perfect for showing off the beautiful prints.  Unfortunately, the wind wasn’t cooperating but we were able to get a few decent shots.

The binding was a bit tricky but I’m glad it all worked out.  Thankfully, the hand binding didn’t take me nearly as long as I thought, phew!  Just a few episodes of my favorite shows and it was complete.

Another close up of the FMQ.  I’m happy with the way it turned out even though its not perfect. Plus, nothing can ruin those beautiful Botanics!  Its made to be loved, not examined, right?

I flew home yesterday to visit my family and to celebrate my sister’s upcoming nuptials! I was so excited to give the quilts I’ve been working on to my family.  Dad is planning on hanging his new quilt in his office.  I hope he loves it!
