Christmas Charm Pack Cherry – Finished!
Usually when Halloween and Thanksgiving roll around I’ve reached full freak-out mode in anticipation of all of the Christmas gifts I want to make. BUT…this year, I’ve managed to sneak in a project just for me and my hubby!
I pieced this charm pack cherry quilt using the free youtube tutorial by the Fat Quarter Shop, using 2 charm packs of 25th and Pine and 2 charm packs of Moda snow. So easy and so quick. See my previous post: HERE.
In my usual fashion, the quilt top sat for two months before I got around to quilting it. At least its done by Christmas…that’s what counts, right?!?
I decided that I wanted it to be super soft and snuggly so I picked up some quilters dream batting and used a really large-scale stipple. Let me tell you…its hard to quilt at a different scale than I’m used to!
Thankfully, I finished the quilting in record time (< 1 hr) and it came out just like I wanted. Yay!
I backed the quilt in this gorgeous red damask print from the line and bound it with the christmas tree chevron print. I love the way the trees look in the binding.
Now I’m in the mood to sing Christmas carols. It’s a good thing you only get to see the quilt pictures and not my horrific singing voice. Joy to the world….
I hope you’re having a wonderful week, friends!
