Chevron Love!
Chevrons have been so popular this season, that I thought I would try my hand at making a chevron quilt! Check out the finished product:
The lime green made it so fun and springy 🙂
In addition to trying chevrons, I also tried some new free motion tools and techniques. Take a look!
I made squiggles up and down throughout the green prints, and did some basic stippling in the black/white prints.
I also experimented with a new tool called pinmoors (http://www.pinmoor.com) which replaces the use of safety pins while making the quilt sandwich. I don’t know about you, but I HATE using safety pins – they’re hard to open and close and leave big holes in the fabric. Pinmoors are a great alternative! Pinmoors are used to cap the tip of your basic sewing pin, preventing the pin from sliding or poking you while quilting. They’re a lit bit on the expensive side for such a small product but they make a big difference in your quilting experience!
As always, Happy Quilting!
