The Boxy Pouch

Just about every time I look on instagram, someone has made another seriously adorable pouch with their fabric scraps and I was feeling a bit left out. So…I got to work.

My first couple pouches were eh…okay, but I wasn’t getting the fun look that I wanted until…

I found this great tutorial by Pink Stitches for a boxy pouch.

Complete with blue zipper, and a handle, I used the last bit of my coveted Downton Abbey scraps leftover from my swoon quilt.

The inside is fully lined too!  Boxing 8 corners (interior and exterior) was a bit tedious but I really like not having exposed seams in the inside.

I think it turned out well and its a great size for pens, pencils, fabric…you name it!

I’m ready to try it again.  Next time, I’m going to quilt the exterior to make it a bit sturdier.  Wish me luck!
