Blogger’s Quilt Festival Entry – Original Design

Its time for this year’s Blogger’s Quilt Festival!  It’s a great event hosted by Amy on her blog, Amy’s Creative Side!  Bloggers can enter up to two quilts in a number of different categories with the chance to win some great prizes.  How awesome is that?

I am entering my Ma’am Cave quilt into the original design category.  Even though this was one of the more simple designs I’ve made, it’s definitely one of my favorites.

The design was born when I started experimenting with some appliqué lettering.

I just adore this Tula Pink Saltwater Prints so I had to add a border made with a charm pack.  I’m still in love with that little octopus!

Ma’am Cave is hanging proudly on my sewing room wall!
