Attacking Appliqué

Anyone who has quilted knows that it takes a lot of patience to complete a project from start to finish. Despite being able to quilt for hours on end, I have no patience for hand quilting. For that reason, I have been putting off finishing the last 4 blocks on the 2012 Craftsy Block of the Month.

I decided to finish up my appliqué blocks in the non-traditional way, by machine. Two were hexagon blocks, where I attacked the hexies to each other by hand and then the group of hexies by machine to the background fabric.

 

The others were Dresden blocks, one traditional and the other modern.

 

What do you think? I think it makes the quilt look even more modern!
