Modern Triangle Quilt – Complete!

After many long hours, I’ve FINALLY finished quilting my modern triangle quilt. What do you think?

 

I used a walking foot to do all of the quilting. In each triangle, I echoed the shape with a coordinating thread color. The negative space was filled with squiggly lines to add a little movement to the quilt.

Prior to piecing the quilt, I shrunk the fabric but not the batting.  When I finished densely quilting the quilt, I washed the entire quilt to shrink the batting and give the soft crinkly look the finished product.

I love the way it turned out – I see more modern quilts in my future!
