End of Summer Projects
I can’t believe the summer is winding down, but I’m still fighting for all of the quilting time I can get. I’m starting two new end of summer projects this month that I’m really excited about.
The first is Kindred, the first Moda Frivols quilt. I waffled back and forth when I was deciding to subscribe to the year-long Frivols subscription, but my Mom convinced me it was a necessary purchase. The Air Force has decided to steal my husband from me for a significant portion of this and next year so this was my consolation gift to myself. Better than diamonds, right?
The Fat Quarter Shop shipped out my kit a week ago and I have been stalking my USPS tracking number ever since. My packages get stuck in U.S. customs for days and then magically appear at the post office with no notifications for the air travel in between. I tend to check the post office daily when I know fabric is on its way!
Thankfully, the Frivol and finishing kit arrived today and I’m super pumped to get started. Isn’t this quilt adorable?!
I’m also going to be joining Lorna @ Sew Fresh Quilt for her Dog Gone Cute Blog Hop through the end of this year. How could I pass up a chance to make this adorable quilt?
Check out her post HERE if you want to learn more about it.
Happy Quilting!
