Fox Field Mystery Quilt – Complete!
Remember this quilt from a few months ago? Its Tula Pink’s fox field mystery quilt through Craftsy. I wrote here about how much I adored the prints but felt frustration with the pattern. I’m such a perfectionist and I wanted lots of pretty points!
After piecing the top, I put it away for a while. When my sister said that it was one of her favorites, I put aside my frustrations and decided to quilt it up for her in time for Christmas.
I must admit that I like it much better now that it’s so crinkly and snuggly!
I ordered my favorite large-scale pink fabric from the line for the backing. Somehow I managed to forget to take a picture of it before I gave the quilt away. Oops! I also found a great pink variegated thread from Aurifil that I used to stipple the quilt.so the thread blended in nicely with the front and back.
There were a few solids left in my jelly roll that I decided to use for binding. I love the scrappy look!
My sister and brother-in-law, Sam and Ben, received the quilt Christmas morning. Here they are being goofy!
Of course, we had to get another, more reasonable shot, even if it’s among our mess of Christmas morning gift opening!
Merry Christmas, Sam and Ben!
