Next Stop: Misawa, Japan!

Mike and I are so excited to share our next adventure with you guys.  We’ll be spending the next 2-3 years stationed at Misawa Air Base, JAPAN!!

We couldn’t be more excited.  What an awesome opportunity to see and and experience a part of the world that is so different from our own. We’ve already started studying the language.  Yeah, we’re that kind of people.  I think that if we are going to experience their culture, that has include communication.  Besides, how else am I going to fabric shop??

I’ve heard that Japan has a huge quilting industry so I’m really excited about that.  Know anything about it?  Please share!  I’m hungry for any information I can get.

My plan is to blog about my quilting adventures there, so if there’s anything specific that you’d like to hear about, I’m all ears.  I connected with Alyce of Blossom Heart Quilts, who is also temporarily living in Japan so I’m hoping to get some good information from her.  Unfortunately, we’re 4.5 hours away from each other.  Bummer!
