Finished Swoon Quilt and Sam’s Wedding
I’m so excited to be sharing the finished swoon quilt!
If you haven’t seen my previous posts about this project, you can read about the beginnings, progress and finished top. I sent the top off to the extremely talented Teresa Silva of Quilting is my Bliss, to be custom quilted. She did beautiful work!
Isn’t the quilting just lovely!
I received the quilt back about a month ago and got to binding with some more fabric from the Downton Abbey line. I had seen Clover Wonder Clips on about a gazillion blogs so I decided to pick up a pack. I definitely recommend using them – my binding went much faster than it normally does!
I flew home for memorial day weekend to celebrate my sister’s wedding. I was SO excited to give Sam and Ben their wedding quilt. They love it! Yay!!
The happy new couple!
I added a label to the back using some printable fabric. This was my first time writing her new name! Exciting!!
It was the perfect wedding weekend and I’m so excited to have shared it with the new Bride and Groom. Don’t they look happy?
Here’s my mom, Sam and I headed to the rehearsal.
The day was so much fun! Nothing is better than a party with your closest friends to celebrate the start of something wonderful.
