Butterfly Eye Candy

Hi Friends!  Look what flew to my door.  Isn’t she beautiful?

I sent my version of Tula Pink’s Butterfly Quilt to Teresa (Quilting is my Bliss) for her very own long-arm spa treatment and Teresa has worked her magic again.

A few close up pictures for your weekend viewing pleasure, especially for all of you left behind after much of our quilting community enjoys Quilt Market this weekend.

Eek!  So fabulous.

So my plan was to have this quilt finished by now, but I made a last-minute change.  I had intended on making a nice scrappy binding with my leftovers, but when I laid it all out to get started, I wasn’t loving it.  So, I went on the hunt for some additional yardage from the line and NONE of my favorite shops still carried it.  Thank goodness for Etsy, I was able to find a few shops that carried the striped polka dot print and I ordered some yardage for binding.  Yay!  The fabric arrived last night so I’m off to bind.  I imagine it will take me a good while to hand bind around this massive quilt, but I’ll be sure to take pictures when it’s all complete!
